Food & Drink Business - Moontide Pride: Gin On-The-Go

Broome based Moontide Distillery has released its Pride Tide Gin in a new RTD can. The Pride Tide Gin, was initially created to commemorate Broome Pride, however its popularity has turned it into a staple in the range. Moontide Distillery says that after a year of trials to perfect the composition and taste, Pride Tide Gin & Tonic is now available in ready-to-drink, 'party-on-the-go' cans. Moontide Distillery says to really bring the drink to like, it worked with, Rupaul’s Drag Race Down Under 2022 alumni Kween Kong as one of the faces of the RTD.

Moontide Distillery’s Trish Davidson said they are incredibly proud of all their gins and spirits, but Pride Tide Gin in particular has a special place in their hearts. “We have been proud supporters of Broome Pride Inc. since our first year of operation, and part of the proceeds of every bottle and can of Pride Tide Gin goes directly to this local Broome not- for-profit that supports LGBTQIA+ individuals in the Kimberley region by facilitating Broome's Mardi Gras Festival and other community events," said Davidson.

Moontide’s original Pride Tide Gin has flavours of pineapple, coconut and passionfruit combined with juniper, coriander and a rainbow of native Kimberley botanicals - Gubiny (Native Kakadu Plum), Native Quandong, and Native Sandalwood, with sparkling tonic added in the new can format. Pride Tide Gin & Tonic comes in a 250mL slimline can with a distinctive rainbow-hued label, and will celebrate Sydney World Pride this year.

The RTD can be enjoyed straight up from the chilled can, or poured over ice with a slice of lime or pineapple. Pride Tide Gin & Tonic cans are available online and at select bottle shops across Australia.
