Tragic Saturday 4th July Troy Thomas
The Moontide Distillery was shocked on Saturday to witness with patrons the horrible events and closed that afternoon the distillery to take time to grieve. We would like to provide our condolences for those who have lost someone dear that day. To the two young people from the crash who are in hospital our hopes and prayers for a speedy recovery. We know it will be difficult and we wish them and their families the courage to go on.
We hope that the patrons who saw the incident from our Distillery can work through any issues that the event might leave them with but if in shock we ask that they seek help to deal with their trauma.
Trish and I will remember Troy as a young man perhaps even a teenager who we met 20 odd years ago, when we took one of the original seaplane flights to the horizontal falls. He was even then an astute operator, a performer, so attuned to the environment which he so loved He managed difficulties with such skills and he provided us with a host of stories which we told for years just from one day with him. Good bye young man we have our memories of you.
